Front Bumper rusting

Anyone else have rust appearing on front bumper? My build date was Oct. 14th. 08. The service manager said Ford wont' cover that. It's the owners responsibility to keep it clean.

A body manager at a shop told me they should replace it as it should be years to rust threw.

I gota see a pic of this. I mean if your truck looks like it just went threw WW3 then maybe I could understand but other then that tell the service manage he's nuts and to fix your truck or you'll go postal on his azz.

Co-worker has a 2008 F250 he bought in January with rust showing on the bumper in less then a month, it not much, but it's rusting. We bought from the same salesmen and he has ordered a new bumper to change it with no charge. So far my 2008 F350 bumper is not rusting, but I ordered mine and he picked his from the lot. Of course they dragged the fuel pump hose across my paint on the first fill up and they want to know if I want it buffed or repainted, I don't know if a new paint job is better then the factory???? so I'm suppose to let then know, I'm still thinking on this one.

I would say that they owe you a new bumper at no charge, these trucks were not free$$$$

read the warranty, you're body parts are covered from corrosion for several years. make them replace it.

I noticed last saturday when I washed mine that it had some rust spots. That is whyI went with the lariat, so I wouldn't have too worry about chips and rust on the front bumper. My last two super duties were sport pkg's. I am washing it in the morning and will take a good look.

can't take a pic until mon it's being serviced. If the dealer won't change it what's the next course? another dealer? or call Ford's complaint dept?
