front fender emblem removal

how do the 2008 front fender badges mount? Are they just pushed on or is there a screw in them from the inside?

  1. Open the hood and reach in along the fender where the factory side vent is. Squeeze the metal clips together one at a time while pushing the clip away from the truck (out of the slot). You can pull on the vent at the same time to help pop the vent off. Don't pull to hard and break the prongs holding the clips.
  2. With the vent removed place it face down on a cloth. With a small flat head screwdriver carefully remove the 2 push nuts in the middle of the vent that are holding the grill section of the vent to the outer chrome shell. They are approx. ¼ inch in diameter and are between the top and bottom grille section. Put the screwdriver under the clip and slowly work around the stub lifting a little at a time until you get it off the stub.
