Go for a 2008?

So, the Boss may approve a 2008 F-250 Lariat Crewcab soon. Whether it will be a diesel again, or a V-10, time will tell. Should I put the flawless 2007 out at the road with a For Sale sign on it, or keep it longer. It's only got 40k on the ticker, but business has it's moves, and those are cards the Boss keeps close to his vest. Thoughts?

I would keep the 2007 until we/the keepers of the Ford figure out how to make this truck a little more fuel friendly. It will be done. Without a tuner or major modifications. There are alot of smart fellows out there. It will be done, just need a little research time.

Interesting, but truthful. I wonder what obligation Ford will have to "reflash" or update the PCM's of previous 2008 buyers? I could see them waiting to make the mileage changes on the 2009's so they have no obligations... after all, it would be a new model year.

I agree with that, especially at this particular point in time. Give it another model year and I think the cards will be more in our favor

I am thinking of the F-450 so I am after changing the Crown and Pinion ratios to 3.55 from the 4.3's. With the price of fuel up here it should pay for itself in about a year and a half? Who has some thoughts on that ???
