It was the clockspring. So, I've got the part # 8C3T-14A664-BA in hand. Now, to get a replacement. I'm expecting about $80 at the dealer. Anyway, I shot the wires and found that this was the problem. I'd like to thank whoever suggested I go to
www.helminc.com because their wiring diagrams and troubleshooting guides got me to this point. For about $10 I downloaded about all the manuals for my truck. Now, if something goes wrong, I'll just have to look through my files till I find the right diagram. Then, I'll know exactly the steps that the dealer would take to fix my truck. Way cool!
Dealer only charged about $56!!!!! Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! I thought for sure they'd want more than the guys on line (anywhere from high 60s to $130). Also, I've taken the old clockspring apart and found a broken solder joint. That's pretty shoddy work there. I wonder if the horn had ever worked. It didn't really look broken, just like it had never been connected. Again, thanks to whoever suggested helminc.com because it was WELL worth the $10!
