Hour meter display on 08?

My 08 does not seem to have a choice for total hours in the display between the gauges. I did not find anything in the manual either (maybe I am blind). In my 05 this is a very nice feature. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Doug

You should have three black buttons to the right of your guage cluster, think they are labled info, reset and I can't think of the other one. But if you press one of them the indicator will go into a system self check. The first info you will see is engine hours, followed by things like brake system check, air filter check, etc.. Check the owners manual, think it is covered in there. This feature is on Lariats and KRs.

Thanks.. I think I have tried this.. I hit the info, and can set headlight auto off delay, and other items. I have not seen any combination where it will display the hours. In the 04 and 05, you just cycle through the display (trip miles, MPG, mile to empty) and the hour meter is one of the choices. Not so on my 08

Thanks, Doug

I have a JOB 2 XLT and I only have one button. I have to scroll through until it says "Press and hold for system check". By pressing and holding for a few seconds, it auto scrolls through hours, brake check, door check, trailer brake check, etc. etc. You have to be watching closely because the hour meter is the first to display.

If you have the 3 button message center, press the SETUP button followed by the RESET button. Engine Hours will be the first item displayed as it scrolls through the System Check. See page125 of your owners manual.

Instructions are perfect

Ok, I have the hours showing now, if even for an instant. Your directions were dead on.

The 05, and 04 hour display are part of the main choices. Not part of a sub menu.

Thanks!
