How to reprogram how long lights stay on???

I want to make it so my lights don't stay on forever, just because I opened my door. I DO NOT have the "Info,Setup,Reset" 3 botton setup. I have the single button reset button. My owner's manual explains how to do it with the optional 3 botton setup, but not the other. Can it be done, or do I have to go to the dealer to get them to change the parameters? I'm not a huge fan of all of these lights lighting up for so long. I know I can hit the lock button on the remote to make them go out, but I would like to change the parameters.
Thanks,
Jerry

That's in the dash programming.

From page 126 of the owner's manual:

Autolamp timer presets

This feature keeps your headlights on for up to three minutes after the ignition is switched off.

1. To disable/enable the autolamp delay feature, select this function
from the SETUP control for the current display mode.

2. Press the RESET control to select the new Autolamp delay values of 0, 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120 or 180 seconds.

Thanks, but my truck has the standard message center.....not the optional message center. IE, I only have the select/reset single button....not the Setup/Reset/Info 3 button cluster. I have read the sections in the owners manual. For the standard message center it does not mention squat about the timer....only in the optional message center section. My 2010 manual is a little diiferent than the 08 (as page numbers do not match yours) but I am looking at the section you mentioned it is says for trucks equiped with the optional message center.
Also, I looked in the section regarding the instrument cluster and that is where I found the instructions for the optional one.
Does anyone know if these settings can be changed on a truck with the STANDARD message center?
Thanks guys,
Jerry

I am pretty sure on the standard message center that you just have to hold down the button until it goes into setup mode and scroll through to the auto lamp delay screen?

Jason,
I tried that. It never cycled to that option. I was hoping there was a trick to it, but looks like I'll have to have it set at a dealer. I know sometimes there are procedures that work that detailed in the manual, so I was hoping.....
Thanks again,
Jerry

Sorry, I was guessing as we don't have any trucks with the standard message centre. Let us know what ends up working.

well

has anyone figured this out?

My headlights very rarely ever come on, and the markers only flash at random times. Is it because I have the lights on auto? Is there a program sequence similar to shutting off the seatbelt chime?

I'm also wondering this I replaced the headlight switch because at time the interrior lights wouldn't come on at all even if I rolled the switch and had the same problem
