Ask this in the towing section. From what I understand it will but i don't have this type of system. So ask there for a more definite answer.

Ours does fine with the Dexter electric over hydraulic disc brakes.

The original IBC in the '05 models had a lot of problems--Ford did something different for the '06 models that did somewhat better. On the trailer forums, there was a lot of talk about having to bypass the IBC and use an aftermarket controller. Dexter/Carlisle/Ford got it working in '08s I hear. Haven't seen any talk about current problems.

Mine too, with the gain set at +8.0 my 27,000 lb loaded trailer stops itself with no help from the truck.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but...
According to Ford's own guides and manuals they state "the integrated TBC (trailer brake controller) is verified to be compatible with electrically actuated drum brakes only".
I'm encouraged that you guys are getting electric over hydraulic to work... I'd like to convert my boat trailer from the surge system to an electric/hydraulic... the surge brakes drag horribly descending through canyons.

the key word in this is "verified": "the integrated TBC (trailer brake controller) is verified to be compatible with electrically actuated drum brakes only".

They don't guarantee it because they only tested the electric drums. Go with a late model Dexter and you'll be a happy camper.

Thanks for the tip... it was between Dexter and BrakeRite. I'll go Dexter... plus it looks better (oh and puts out higher pressure than the BrakeRite).
