I forgot my code and punched in several codes trying to remember. The keypad started flashing. Did I shut down my truck? What happened by doing that?
Will the truck reset if I leave it alone? I think I remember the code not but when I typed it in the truck did nothing. Not sure if it is the wright code but I am curious if the truck security shut the truck down? Both sets of keys are in the truck.
If you bought the truck new or if you bought it from a Ford Dealer, I think you can go to them and get the keycode or get a new key cut to unlock the door. I have done this on a Chrysler product over the phone. You have to prove you own the truck which is why you go back to the dealer you purchased it from.
Get a slimjim and open the door.

Yeah I know I am a jack ass...
Dear Jack Ass,
The information you seek is in your Owner's Guide... This is part of the "Anti-Scan" feature and it is normal operation. It can be reset if it does not do so on it's own. Please read:

If an incorrect code has been entered 7 times (35 consecutive button
presses), the keypad will go into an anti-scan mode. This mode disables
the keypad for one minute and the keypad lamp will flash during this time.
The anti-scan feature will turn off after:
one minute of keypad inactivity.
pressing the control on the remote entry transmitter.
the ignition is turned to the 3 (ON) position.
I highly recommend reading up on the keyless entry system in the Owner's Guide as there are instructions that will show you how you can program your own codes... perhaps one that you will easily remember. I did on all of my vehicles and used the same code too.
Good Luck!

I programed mine to the universal password, according to the Penguins of Madagascar... 1-2-3-4-5 ;-)
Not really. As said any dealer can get you the code programed in by Ford (take your vin). Oh by the way, you aren't a jack ass. It happens. As the Disc Doctors use to say...it's a Franklin fix. Just going to cost you a couple bucks and now you know to write it down some place in your wallet or email it to yourself so it is on your phone. Make it your wife's birthday. That way you won't forget it and if you do, getting locked out of your truck is the least of you problems.
