If they are the power folding mirrors, try folding and unfolding (using the button) first. I had my truck parked at a friends, and their kids decided the mirrors would be fun to play with. Driving down the highway, I noticed they were shaking a LOT more (and had handprints on the glass). One cycle of the electronic fold/unfold made them stop. Clicking it into place by hand didn't do the trick. There was still a little play in the unfolded position, when done manually.
