No ambient tempture display on 2009 f350 drw?

I have a 2009 f-350 drw lariat fx4 package. These trucks don't have a display that shows the outside ambient air tempeture? Nor a compass? My 04 f-150 has both of these yet a 50,000 truck has neither?

On my 08 the temp is on the heat controls, you have to push the button that says "outside" or something that effect. The compass is in the guage cluster. Took me a while to find them.

Not sure about the FX4 edition, but on my '09 you have to hit the "EXT" button in the middle at the bottom of the climate control display window. And the compass is in the message center.

"ext," that's what I was trying to say. If you don't have the dual zone controls, I don't think you have an ambient readout. There were some threads going about adding a mirror with one some time ago on FX4s.

The dual zone EATC is a standard Lariat feature so if your truck does not have the dual zone EATC I suspect it is not a Lariat...

A FX4 is not a Lariat trim truck, it is built upon the XLT trim level and would be considered between the XLT and Lariat.

You do not have the ambient temp/compass. I too have the FX4, just preferred the black interior to the Lariat. I was quite disappointed when I realized a lot of the "nice-to-have" features of the Lariat are not included in the FX4 as the sticker price is virtually the same.

I am not a big fan of the chrome and plastic wood combination that a Lariat brings so I went a different way:

Nice truck! This really does piss me off though with the window sticker almost identical...and on a 50k truck it doesn't even have a compass or ambient temp guage how lame. Very dissapointed when my moms 01 suburban has one and my 04 f150 and there not half the cost of this beast. I will have to survive

But do those vehicles have dual climate control? The outside temp was built into the dual AC controls. Ford should have put a mirror with the outside temp and garage door opener in the FX 4. BTW the iPhone just got the capability to text a picture last Friday. 2001 tech on a 2009 phone!

The do not have the dual climate, not even an option, nor do they have heated seats. At least they didn't when I was looking. Mines a first generation bought in May of 07'.

For 2009 you could get the FX4 Luxury Package that came with the dual zone EATC, leather heated seats etc. but I found when I was shopping that there was no appreciable price difference between a FX4/Lariat/KR/HD truck once you equipped them the same.
