Outside mirror not holding position

Afternoon all,

I recently had the outside mirrors replaced under warranty and the replacement passenger side mirror does not hold the mirror position after parking overnight.

I set it for driving when the vehicle was picked up at lunchtime, and by the next morning the mirror angle had changed to the point that the view from the driver seat was that of the ground instead of behind me, ( and no manual adjustments were made).

Took it to the shop and since it did not change position in 2 hours they said nothing was wrong.

This morning the mirror angle had changed position again....back to the dealer where they kept it all day...without 'witnessing' the change in mirror angle.

Any idea what the heck is wrong??

I'll pick it up from the dealer in a few minutes (close to work thank goodness) and if (make that when) the position changes overnight I WILL NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS! then the service tech can see the difference and trouble shoot the problem or ordedr a new mirror (they can't diagnose the problem if they do not see it).

Anyways, if anyone has any tips or guidance I can share with the dealer tomorrow it would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

I finally figured out what was happening with the mirror. When the passenger side mirror was replaced, it was not reprogramed...it was manually adjusted to see for driving, but not programmed into setting Number 1 (which I use). I didn't realize it, but the remote to open the door also sets settings to setting number one...which moved the 'new' mirror to the off kilter position every morning when I went to work.

It was not a total loss...the dealer put the seat bracket on from a recall and advised about another recall for the gas door bracket (which they have no details or parts yet).

Regards

Hate to say it, but that's funny right there.
