Cool outside temp. indicator

do the 08's have an outside temp indicator. my friend just got one and can't seem to find how or if they have one. any help thanks in advance vernon

My lariat does. But as I recall it is not a standard feature. I know it is part of the the dual climate control but not sure which all setups include it.

If he looks below the climate control display, there is a button marked EXT. Hit the button, temp will display on right side.

Only thing I wish is that there was a way to turn it on permanently while it still displays internal temp. It turns off the internal temp display while showing the outside display.

The internal temp is what you set it at, not what it actually is in the cab. With the external temp showing, just using the wheel control will show the current setting. It will then go back to the external temp.

BTW, yes, I did like it better on my '04 with the temp in the roof console.

Steve, Yeah, I got that but it appears everything is blanked out when it shows the EXT. I'd rather have the constant on so I can see what the interior is and what it's set to compared to outside temp without hitting a button. I just got used to it always being available when I had the display in the mirror.
