I know it says that. I'm really uncomfortable recommending that you go against what the manual says. On the other hand I've seen first hand what happens inside a TorqShift that was spun for a couple hours without the trans pump running. I think that the transfer case should be in N and the trans in P.

How much do you have into this project? Why not just buy a flat trailer and tow it on that?

Mark, Are you thinking that there would be enough coupling in the fluid to turn the trans? Would it matter that there is no load? Isnt there enough resistance in the torque converter to prevent it from turning? Why would they recommend neutral in the first place? Lot's of questions I know.

Mikey, I've got about $400 into F250 specific parts. The tow bar and brakemaster can be used on any vehicle we'd tow. And believe me it's so much better towing wheels down than with a trailer. On a rig this size 90% + of the places we visit would not have room for the MH, trailer, and truck without paying extra for another spot. It's just so much easier as well. I've done it both ways....
