Rear plastic inner fender trivia

In my 05 F250 FX4 Crew Lariat, loaded, there was NO inner plastic inner fenders like my 04 (same options). Back then I had to go to the dealer and order the 04 plastic inner fenders. There are 4 parts, two for each rear wheel (one for front and other for back of wheel well). I found I needed them because road spray would run up through the bed and end up inside the bed (I have Undercover top, and want to keep bed dry). As soon as I put them on, the road spray problem went away, plus the inside of the side fenders now had protection from rocks.

Fast forward to my 08 F350 FX4 KR. It came with the rear/back plastic inner fender, but not the front parts. I went back to the dealer, and she showed a front part for the 08 (weird, who knows when you get it on your truck). I did not have to try to use a 04 part. They snapped in in 5 minutes just like the 05 mod.

Again, it got rid of the road spray problem for inside the bed (I have a Slide and Lock now).

So, HOW CHEAP IS FORD? Very in my mind. 1.) Each cheap plastic fender was $25 or so, plus $1.25 for snap. I bet there is not more than .50 cents in the material. They always find a way to cut corners. Bill Ford spend hundreds of millions refitting the factories (the few that are still open) so that he could grow grass and trees on the roofs. He should have spent this on trucks/cars, not some enviro fascist pigs request to grow trees on the roof. Point is, what cheap skates.

Thanks, Doug

I bought a set of stainless inner fender liners (4pc) on the internet for my '08. Thought it was pretty stupid to have a set for the rear and not front of tire. It showed it being available for an '07, but it's basically the same because I put a set of these on my dad's '05. Plus it came with stainless hardware to install it with. Really a nice addition!

Does anyone have the Ford P/N? You must of had an exceptional parts person, my dealer knows nothing unless you spoon feed them
