Remote Entry Problems 09 F350

Ok, this is kind of a third party question. I bought an 09 F350 KR, fully loaded, which has the factory remote start with the new remote. I am depoyed with the Army, and my wife is driving it. She's had a problem with unlocking the doors. When she hits the button, the alarm goes off. The only way to turn the alarm off is to start the truck with the key. The keypad on the door will unlock the doors, but as soon as the doors open, the alarm goes off. We bought this slightly used, so only have one remote. Any ideas? Thanks

If this is happening while waiting for the remote start to start the truck then you have to wait for it to start before you can unlock the truck and get in. That is what mine does and it is annoying.

No, she hasn't used the remote start, but that's good to know. Thanks

I have an '08 and added the Ford remote start and alarm system. You can use the key pad or the inside door locks to lock the doors, and after 30 seconds it sets the alarm, but you can only unlock the doors with the FOB, otherwise the alarm will go off. I have contacted the maker of the Ford alarm system and I was told how to program the system to allow the key pad to work to unlock w/o the alarm going off. I showed this to the Ford alarm system guy and he said it wouldn't work, so I am living with it. Also, if you stop the truck and turn off the key and someone gets out of the passenger side, closes the door, and then the driver locks the door, 30 seconds later the alarm is set. Even if you manually unlock the doors, the alarm will go off, you must reset by using the FOB.

What can I say - Ford had a better idea !!!!!!!

unlock with keypad and the alarm goes off. I've seen three or four ways suggested to wire it but have never found anyone who can try it.

Damn joke if you ask me.
