Seatbelt minder?

How do you disable it? I have fallowed the book and still can not get it, any tips? thanks

yeah i cant get passed the 3rd step i do it up and undo it 9 times and the seatbelt light never comes back on.... anyone have a clue?

Keep trying, it worked for me. I don't recall the exact wording on the instructions, but it led me to believe that I should do the procedure while driving down the road, and, it didn't work. So, I went thru the drill while parked, and it worked ok.

You have to be pretty quick about it. I did it once BUT when I took it in for service and they disconnected the battery it turned back on.

you have to hold your mouth just right....and maybe i was cross eyed...but i finally got mine to work on about the third or fourth time.....btw its in the owners manual

FYI......... I had my dealer ship take care of it for me..... Im in and out of my truck with just short drives on job sight....... Drove me nuts..... they did it real easy..... It was like turn it off and on like 6 times......... then they did something (dont remember......).... then did it some more..... It was crazy... but hay no more ding ding ding....

I can understand why you thought that. I was curious WHY you thought that until I looked at it. It's very poorly written!

Seatbelt minder doesn't bug me. Door chime does.

If you take your time (don't hurry too fast) and follow the manual to the letter, it works. Don't forget to set the parking brake. When it is completed, all that happens is there are six seatbelt chimes the first time you turn the key on. It never chimes again until you turn the key on the next time.
