Sleepy Speedometer, whats up with that.

I've been noticing that my speedometer is real sleepy, as in it takes awhile to come back down if I slow down real fast. It just kind of lags from what I can tell is really happening.
Anybody else notice this with there 08'?

Please tell me this is a joke.

No I'm not kidding. There is for sure a lag in the speedO. I drove by one of those mobil speed signs the police put up and I can de-selerate hard down to say 40MPH from say 65 and it will stay 65mph when I'm down to 40, then it will start to drop slowly tell it catches up to the real speed. And it's slow enough to notice big time.
So no I'm not kidding.

Mine seems to be more "sticky" than "sleepy". In other words, when I either accelerate or decelerate, the needle tends to skip 1/16" at a time instead of moving smoothly. I'm thinking of taking it in to have it checked. The tach needle moves perfectly smoothly in contrast to the speedo. The fact that yours literally skips 20 mph at a time seems very wrong to me. I'd have that checked.
