Sliding rear window

Why does Ford almost force you to get this? I want to get a new 2009 when they come out. I want the trailer mirrors, adjustable pedals and some other stuff. We now have a 2001 with the sliding rear window which has never been opened. I don't want one on my new truck but every time I build one online with the options I want it forces the sliding window on it.

Goto the dealer and order it. I got a color option on the Intrepid I had which wasn't available normally. They only allowed Grey or Black with the Dark Green exterior. I special ordered it with the Camel (Tan) leather instead.

Just because you can't build it online, doesn't mean the Fleet, Sales or General manager can't.

I never opened the one on my '01 either, but now that I have the POWER slider I use it a lot. On a hot day, I can open it for the first half mile and it sucks all the hot air out.

I would recommend the power slider.

Same for me. On my 2002, I never opened it, but with the power slider, I use it all the time. I just have to remember to shut it when I get home!!
