Smart Car, Smarter Truck

I was next to one of the new Smart Cars at a stop light. We were lined up at the front bumper. I could read their REAR license plate from my front seat. I think I'll buy a Smart Car to keep in the bed of my truck instead of carrying around a spare tire. I'd hate to run into one of those--think how long it would take to pry it out of your grill. Might even scratch my air dam.

They are tiny! Worst thing is their mileage isn't as good as you'd expect. From the reading I've done it sounds like a Honda Fit or Nissan Versa gets better mileage and has more room then the Smart cars. I guess they'll be the next Mini Cooper....

But you're right carrying one around in the bed might not be a bad idea.....
