Spring Code Ratings?

I currently have a 2008 F350 with the camper package and what rating my front springs are? The code is CC. I didn't know if they offered something heavier from the factory so I could gain maybe an inch lift and alittle stiffer feel. Thanks!

CC is a 6,000 lb coil and is the heaviest for the P/U's. You could go with a 6,500 lb or 7,000 lb coil out of a F-450/550 chassis. I would recommend the 7,000 lb coils which can be picked up from the dealer for about $40 - $45 ea.

Can I just order coils for a 550, or are there several? Part number might help if you have one. Thanks.

Depending on how they are equipped, F-550's can have 6,000, 6,500 or 7,000 lb coils. The 7,000 lb coils are part number 5C3Z-5310-AA and list for $60 ea.

Replacing Front Coil Springs, Any Tips?

I was wanting a stiffer feel and about an inch lft, so I went with the 7000# coils from an F550. I have worked on alot of leaf packs, but never any coil springs. I was wondering if you had to have a compressor for the spring, or if there was a way to block the frame and use a floor jack to lower the axle? Any tips or tricks would be awesome! Thanks!
