taillight removal

I am trying to remove the taillights....I put the tailgate down removed the 2 bolts and it seems as though they are still in there pretty good. I did not want to force them and thought maybe there is a gromet or even a fastener I overlooked???
I can't believe the bulb is out already.great PDI I guess. Thanks in advance

Take out the 2 bolts and give it a brisk tug rearward. There are 2 gari balls that retain the taillight on the outboard side. Must have gotten a bad bulb.

*edit* be carefull if it is cold out.
