Upfitter switches

Has anyone utilized their upfitter switches and if so, how do you access the wires? I pulled the site up from Ford that relates to this and it looks as if you have to remove the panel beneath the steering column to access the different wires. I added an auxillary tank to my F450 and and don't want to gravity flow. I will be mounting the fuel pump on my tank/tool box combo. If you have to remove the panel, how do you accomplish this.
Thanks

Removal of the kickpanel below the steering column is simple, just pull out at the bottom first. You'll need to pull pretty hard and even the first time. Once I got it out, I applied a small amount of dielectric compound on the barbs and it pops out much easier now. Upfitter switch wire location appears to vary. On the King Ranch they are above the hood release/park brake area. On some other models I've seen them above the accelerator pedal. Have a good light, they are marked with tiny labels.

On my truck I didn't have to remove anything. They are on the driver's side vertically in line with the parking brake but back towards the driver's seat. There's a big group of wires that contains all PTO wires - this is not the bundle. There are four wire above those that are taped together that are for the upfitter switches.

Mine was accessed through the panel on the side of the dash. It was completely covered with that black vinyl covering Ford uses, except for the gray label band.

Hey guys I really appreciate the help on the location of the upfitter wires. They were about in line with the parking brake. The picture I had wansn't the greatest of help. All's well that's ends well. I got the pump hooked up last night and it seems to be working well. As always thanks for the folks that help us mechanically challenged people. The site is very helpful to us.
Thanks
