My '09 F150 has a second USB port located on top of the dash. You remove the rubber mat in the little valley above the radio, the same area that the SDs have, but this one is actually removable by removing two 7mm screws. Remove the mat, unbolt the two screws and you can slide the tray towards the windshield and pull it off. Inside you will see the top of the radio with two mini USB ports, one already being used for the USB port down on the dash by the Line In port.
You can plug a second mini USB cable into the empty port up there and run the cable easily into the glovebox where you can use a female/female USB adapter to hook up your iPod and keep it safely in the glovebox, no wires exposed. All you do is press the voice button on the steering wheel and say "USB 2" and you're set. You can control it with the radio buttons. Just like if you were to plug the iPod into the USB port on the dash.
I tried this with my dad's 350 by saying USB 2, which the Sync did recognize, but needed something plugged into it to actually play. But since the Sync did recognize it tells me that there has to be a hidden USB port somewhere inside the dash.

Found it! It's super easy to find too, just press in on the glove box side to move it past the rubber stop, turn your head to the right and there it is staring you in the face. You can see the black cable for the USB 1 and right next to it is the USB 2 port.
Once I get the adapter I need I'll take pics. This is the easiest and cheapest mod you can do if you want a seamless iPod connection with no exposed cables. Just hit the Sync voice button and say "USB 2" and you're all set. The iPod can be controlled using the radio controls and all the song info will show up on the display.
Thanks for the info. I would never have thought to even look for a 2nd USB. I keep the Ipod in glovebox so this is perfect. Now I can plug my Ipone into the one on the dash. Sweet!!

Thanks to all who started this thread, I never would have found it otherwise. Handy that it's right beside the glove box. Anyone suggest an adapter to use. I'm a little overwelmed after looking on for one on the internet....

Why would you want to spend $85 more on the cord than you need to? The USB 2 plug on the Sync module is the ever so common USB Mini-B so finding a cord with a Mini-B plug to anything else is easy and cheap. The USB Mini-B male to USB Mini-B male I use on mine I had sitting in a box as it came with a Blackberry...
Change the last character in the part# from -A to -B and it's only $24.00. My Ford parts manager informed me that the 8L7Z-14D202-A ($76.00) fit a bunch of Fords but wasn't listed under 2010 F250. He found part# 8L7Z-14D202-B under my vehicle ($24.00) compared it to the first part listing and said it was the same thing but $52.00 cheaper. I'll see if he is telling me the truth in 3-5 days.......

I found my cable (USB mini male to USB female Adapter) by searching just that on ebay and got the cable for less than $4 shipped. It was very short but perfect. I had to plug my ipod cord into it anyway. Here is the link:
