Visor Stickers?

Any success out there with removing the visor stickers.

I just notice the big ugly things and started to pull one off, it didn't look good so I stopped for now.

Maybe the old hair drier trick will work.

Is this like the mattress tags?? Will they come get me for removing them?? LOLOL

Not only do I have the big seat belt warning sticker on each visor but I also have a sticker on the mirror side of the driver's visor with warnings about the neutral position on the manual transfer case. I tried to peel it off but it was leaving quite a bit of glue in the fabric so I pressed it back in place. I would not try to peel the seat belt stickers, they are more firmly hels in place than the sticker I tried to remove.

Friend removed his, you can see where the stickers use to be. No way around it from what I've seen.

Bud of mine owns an auto upholstery shop, he's going to recover mine in leather and embroider Harely Davidson on one and Road King on the other using Harley colors.

Just picked mine up lastnight and those stickers caught my eye also. After looking for a while, I'm leaving them as is. They sure stick out like a sore thumb though.

They're like iron on patches - I pulled them off of one and ended up having to buy a whole new visor! Don't do that! It left a residue that looked worse than the warning sticker. Worse thing is that the new ones were on crooked! I never learn to leave well enough alone!

Well, it looks like maybe covering them, like Harley 350 is doing, is the only answer.

Decided to remove my stickers today, figuard what the heck if they look like crap I will recover the visor like I said in an earlyer post. Well they came out pretty good. You need to take your time when doing this, the sticker will come off in strips. Once the sticker is completly removed there will be some glue remiaining and you will think OMG what did I do? lol To remove the glue I used mineral spirits which worked very well. The only down side would be when removing the sticker it removes some of the fuzz from the fabric and you can see where the sticker use to be but not bad at all. I've decided at this time not to recover them. I'm now a happy camper. This dude is stickerless.

UPDATE.....

My wife had one of these fuzz removers, used it on my visors and they came out great! VERY VERY hard to see where the old stickers were now.

Here's a link if you want to buy one or try Walmart, etc. EVERCARE FABRIC SHAVER~~I Hate Fuzz Balls - Evercare Fabric Shaver - Epinions.com

The stickers bothered me so when I ordered my Superhide seat covers from Marathon I got the visor covers too. They're quality covers that do the job.
