I have been looking thru the forum, but did not find anything that might be easier. All day I have been trying to get air in the inner tires on my F450. The stems are lined up correctly so they can be reached from the outside rim, but they are at an angle that will not allow the air chuck to seat properlyand lets out almost as much air as I am putting in. Also, because I cannot get the gauge on just right it will not measure the pressure in the inner tires. So I have no idea how much air is in them. I am running 100lbs in the outers. I did order some valve extensions so I could hurry and check them. But I was thinking this was a good idea,,,any thoughts ???
On the older (7.3L F450 and F550) they had to have an air hose extension that had a locking air chuck to connect to the valve and then about 6 feet of air hose with a valve that has an integrated pressure gauge that you connect to your normal air hose. You might be able to buy one from ford or find it aftermarket. It still sucks to get it on the inner dual, but we have to check our fire engines daily with it in the summer, so you get used to it. At least you can get them to stay on the valve stem while airing up. (small hands works well also!)
So nobody has looked at or considered something like this Dual Dynamics I would have thought that at least a few of you guys would have done something to make filling/checking those inner tires easier.

There are airchucks available that have double ends on them making it very easy to get air to the inner tires. Most autoparts stores carry them, if not snap-on and mac tool trucks usually have them.

I would also add that the correct length of extender is important.

I don't own a dually, but I would think if the stems are tied together like that gadget from Daul Dynamics shows, unless there is a check valve in each one, if one got a leak in it, it looks like it would take the other tire down with hit.
just my .02 cents worth

Just fyi, we used those on our international 4300's on all our new deliveries from the factory. Up here we have to deal with salt and corrosion. These caused more problems than they were worth and were quickly removed from service. Several instances when a dual would go flat, it caused both to go flat and blow out, several slow leaks on different trucks. Once they were removed, the air leaks were not as frequent and not as many blown tires.

Dicor Air Gard stem extenders are going to get a try from me if I can find them. Three reasons
1. they are not pressurized like the Wheelmaster. If the extender leaks it doesn't pull down the tire.
2. I have centramatic dynamic balancers so the weight added is not an issue. I would not add anything without either balacing or adding the centramatics
3. Now the pressurepro has their new display I'm adding TPMS to the truck so I don't want them crosstied. I have the wheelmaster gage for that
