What do you call?

What do you call a 2008, 6.4, F350 with 13k miles, dead on the side of a Texas road, in 101 degree heat and miles from the nearest help?

Anyone?

Yup, you got it A REALLY upset me and mad wife sitting there with and umbrella.

It's bad enough it ticks worse then a bicycle with a playing card on the spokes, but this is just crazy. 2 tow trucks (one for the truck, one for the fifth wheel) and here we sit in a parking lot waiting for the service dept to open on monday. It sure is hot in texas, sitting in a parking lot with no A/C.

As soon as we get back I'm getting a Chevy. I HATE YOU FORD.

Buying a Cheby won't solve your prob, big three all have problems. Problem solved with 7.3l truck.

You're probably right, but after getting stranded on the side of the road with 3 different Ford diesels, all with less then 20k on the odometer, it gets old real fast. I'm done, Ford wins, I can't take going to the dealers anymore, can't take sitting on the side of the road waiting for tow trucks, just can't deal with it anymore 2 lemons and now this. It's time to go over to the other side.

I've given road side assistance a work out. BTW, Ford's roadside assistance only covers $200, which wouldn't have covered the tow of the truck for the truck only.

Major props to Coach Net. Not only did they get us 2 tow trucks, they found us someplace to put the camper. Best $120 annual fee I ever spent. Cost to us for two tows over 50 miles $0.

A friend of mine went through the same thing as you and after the third lemon lawed he finally changed to Dodge and has had no problems since. My uncle went through two and traded on a Chevy now with 60,000 plus trouble free miles. The thing is some times you have bad luck with one and great luck with another. I say go to Chevy and you might not ever have another problem again with that truck and have tons of bad luck with the next Chevy you buy after that one. I go with what works and not with brand loyalty. That way I am not stuck with having to buy one brand no matter how bad they are. I will say this though for now the Duramax is a proven motor with the least amount of problems.

SD driver, after having 2 trucks lemon lawed and you buy a THIRD! Instead of complaining to us on here ur time would be better spent looking at your past behavior and wondering exactly where you went astray. "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." -Insanity.

DUH, when you lemon law a truck you don't buy them. You have have no choice but to accept another truck. Learn how it works before attacking. I bought ONE TRUCK, which was the 2003. Lemon lawed that one and they handed me the keys to the 2006. Lemon lawed that and they handed me the keys to the 2008.

Three trucks lemon lawed? So they gave you the 2nd and 3rd trucks. Why the didn't you sell it and jump ship? Are you a glutton for punishment?

SD driver, I didn't mean to make you upset. I posted that in jest. After the second buy back any Lawyer that could hear thunder and see lightining could have got your money back.

Probably, but we needed a truck to pull our camper and park in the city and be a crew cab.

Any GM SRW truck is overloaded after putting a bag of wet clothes in the back. After going through lemon law hell , I won't exceed any of the stickered weight limits.

So, the only GM trucks that can do that are Crewcab, dually , longbed. Which is an enormous truck and hell to park.

That leaves me sucking it up with a SRW, CC, F350, SB Ford. Which has the same GVWR as the dually gm product.

So, we go back to the dealer and they are puzzled. No codes. Truck wouldn't start when they got it at the dealer. Next day, started right up.

Lots of tests and cleaning. They were going to change the computer, but Ford wouldn't let them...

It got us home without a problem. Which was nearly 3K...

1200.00 towing bill for 2 tow truck and towed over 100miles... Glad I didn't have to pay it.

Found out how lame Ford's road side assistance is. They only allow up to $200... Glad I had RV roadside assistance.

Again, learn how it works. If you want cash back you have to pay mileage. When it was figured out, I could have gotten more money selling the truck then they were going to give me back in cash.
