Cool What does it weight?

For some reason I can't find this anywhere. I have an 08 Supercab Lariet F250 Diesel with auto and I was hoping to find out roughly what it weighs. Anyone ever weight one?

If you look at the door pillar, you should see the sticker with the Gross vehicle weight rating , and another with a the max weight of occupants and cargo. Subtract the max weight of occupants and cargo from the GVWR and you should have the curb weight as it left the factory.

I have a 08 crewcab F-250 4x4 KR loaded. With a bedliner sprayed in and 1/2 tank of diesel it weighed 8032.

9100lbs empty

I run mine across the highway scales. They are free and you can go when they are closed and it comes up on a display. I don't trust the door numbers cause I have found every truck I owned to weigh more. These are heavy trucks!

I have always wondered where Ford gets these shipping weights from. I would bet if you took your truck and scaled it your actual weight would easily add a good 1000 - 1200 lbs to Ford's 8114 lb ship weight.

In the People's Republic of Virginia (said with tongue firmly in cheek) vehicles that weigh over 7501 pounds do not get personal property tax relief. What does that mean? It means that you pay 100% of the tax, while those under the limit pay about half that. Why 7501? I don't know. For my truck it equates to a difference of about $800 a year. When the dealer filled out my paperwork they put a weight of 4800 or so (maybe dry weight?). The county folks that assess the tax didn't accept that and "figured" that my truck must exceed 7501. If I wanted it changed I had to get DMV to enter the true weight in the database. I could find NO information online or elsewhere of the actual weight of my vehicle that I could give to DMV. I could have hit the scales but two of the folks I talked to weren't sure if they could accept that. Mostly because (and this is the frustrating part) smaller vehicles are assessed on the actual weight of the vehicle (without passengers or cargo) while 3/4-ton and larger trucks are assessed on what the vehicle could potentially weigh to include passengers, cargo, and trailer. That meant I would be assessed at about 30,000 pounds (8k truck, 3k in the bed, and 19.5 on a 5-er). After fuming on this for a few weeks, I received a letter stating that my "official" weight was changed to 7500 pounds. I stopped calling and left it at that. I still don't know and at this point I don't want to know. Plausible deniability.

Leaving well enough alone was the best thing you could do. If you were to take your truck to the scales there is no way it would come in under the 7501 max.

Ford lists the base curb weight of a F-350 6.4L 4X4 CC SWB at 7648 lbs. Keep in mind that base curb weights are taken from XL trucks with no options and manual transmissions. So, naturally your loaded Lariat is going to weigh more.

I weighed my F-450, a 4x4 auto heavily optioned Lariat with a full tank of fuel, hair over 9,000lbs. Far from your posted shipping weight.
