The owner card in my truck isnt in the glovebox, bought it used. I know the code is printed on the module, just wondering where to start looking. Thanks.

My son bought a used truck with the same problem as you, had to take it to the dealer to get the code, or find somebody who owns a reader, or find the previous owner and punch him is the face for not leaving the card in the truck when he sold it.
At least they left the owners manual and the window sticker. Never really figured out why people take that stuff out. What good does it do you once you sell the vehicle?

I think it's on the module up the firewall above the parking brake. At least it was on my '05, '03 and '01. Don't have that option on my '08 so that's why I'm not 100% on it's exact location. You should see some bold numbers on it , I think 5 of them, which is the code.
Look at the attached pics.
Look way up inside. The 5 digit # is the factory door code.
I had the dash apart for some other radio work and I figured I might as well document this.
Sticking the camera inside the dash was actually a lot easier than trying to see it by twisting my body in some weird position!
I couldn't even really see it with my eyes, but the camera was able to see the # pretty easily.
[FYI: The alarm will still sound if the doors are opened....and I now live in Alaska in case someone gets any stupid ideas with my code!!

So does anyone have a definite on this? I can't tell if the pics in the post above are for an '08-'09. I'm guessing not judging by the truck listed in his sig.
I tried cycling the key on and off as instructed in another thread, no luck. I looked up under the steering column dash, pulled the glove box out, no luck.
Anyone know for sure where the computer module is? It's a brand new '09 and the stupid code card wasn't included with the manual.

I finally figured out my keyless entry door code!! After looking up under the dash with a mirror and flashlight several times, I could not find it there. I found the following number sequence listed on a forum somewhere. My wife gave up reading the numbers to me after a few minutes because “it’s too hot out here”. Great help she was!! Finally cooled off and had a neighbor help read ‘em to me. Only took another 3-4 minutes from where we left off before and, Voila!! The door unlocked. It sure beat depending on the Stealership! Hope this helps someone!!
This worked on my '00 Excursion which has the hardwired keypad (almost flush with sheet metal on door) as opposed to the later model wireless remote one's that are just taped or glued on to the door (protrude from the sheet metal by approx. 1/2 inch).

Well I gave up looking and went to my salesman and told him it didn't come with the code. So he had me pull into service and they hooked me up to the computer free of charge. If I wasn't a customer it would have been $69.95.
for 08 and 09 models, it is much easier to find, remove the pass. kick panel and remove three bolts from the junction box module, pull it back and you will find the 5 digit code printed on the back.
