08 short bed tonneau

I read somewhere that some people have not been pleased with the fit of an 07 and early tonneau on their 08. Is the difference only an issue on the long beds? Some sites list the SB as a 6'8" bed and others a 6 1/2 foot bed. I have been considering the Extang Tuff Tonno but they seem to not make an 08 short bed specific version. Has anyone tried the part # 14720 on their 08 SB?

Does anyone recommend another brand in this style of Tonneau cover? I like that it does not rely on snaps or velcro. I know there are several other brands who have this style. I also like the price I am finding on the Tuff Tonno (found it for $239).

I believe it has to do with the fit at the tailgate. The tailgate on the newer ones are different than previous versions.

I have a Truxedo TruXport and am very happy with it. It fits my bed perfectly. I was able to install it in 40 degree weather in about 10 minutes. It uses cam-locks on the rails. The cover Velcros to the rails but is solid. Once the tailgate is locked the only way someone is getting it off is with a knife--if someone steals it at least I'll know they can't use it either.

FordNewbie: I bought a TorzaTop 1-2-3 online (Made by Advantage) and had it delivered for $334.00, It's a folding cover and I've owned 3 of them. I wrote the company and the product manager (Jeff Fink) gave me the correct part number for the 08 short box, because I also couldn't get it straight which cover was what. For the short bed the part number is #73014.
