2008 F-350 Oem Fog Light Install

Can anybody verify if there is a open connection in the engine bay for the fog lights and that the headlight switch would have to be changed,or would it be easier to wire the oem harness to the upfitter switches. THANKS CHUCK

drivers side..beside the headlight is the connection for the wiring harness.

Don't know if the headlight switch needs changed. I think the pcm has to be programmed though to turn on the function.

I installed this OEM item back in 2008 - plug & play setup. The open connection is on the driver’s side next to the headlight area. The pigtail from the fog lights will connect to the existing fittings. I also changed the light switch in the cab to the one that also operates fog lights and daylight automatic on function. There is NO requirement for the PCM to be programmed!

Great to know you don't need a dealer visit for that

I purchased the OEM components from an online Ford parts dealer at a reduced cost benefit.

94:

I am looking at adding the factory fog lights to my 2010 F-350 XL, along with the aero headlamps. The XL had the sealed beam lamps from the factory w/o any option for the foglights. The sealed beams illuminate poorly on a dark wet road at night.

I can find the fog lamp assembly online, but not the wiring harness. What is the part number, if you used the factory wiring harness?

Also to those who may know, will the current wiring harness for the sealed beam headlights work for the aero headlight/bulb assembly?

Thanks:
