2008 Ford Superduty tailgate question

Has anyone found out if you can retrofit the new 'super tailgate' from an 07/08 250/350 to an older (in my case 2000) F350?
The step tailgate looks great .. if only it fits my F350.

i think the tailgate will work as long as you get the newer style latch post

Yeah. I saw a picture of one of the members here that had retro-fit the tailgate. I can't remember who or what year his truck is, but I did see it...

It works fine. Mine doesn't have the step, but all I needed was the new hinge on the drivers side for the torsion bar.
