2008 Leveling Kit

Any recommendations on leveling kits for the 08? Also will a kit affect the warranty at all?

Re: 2008 Leveling Kit

i saw this on the forum a while back... go to ebay and search for "f250 leveling kit" and see if it might be what you are looking for. looks like a pretty good option to me. don't know about the warranty question, maybe somebody else can weigh in on that. i don't know why ford would have a warranty problem with a 2" leveling lift.

i would suggest talking to your dealer and confirm that they see no impact to the reliability of the truck if you added a 2" lift and that they will do warranty work if your truck should need it. seems they have the control over deciding to do warranty work. Ford wouldn't even know if there is or isn't a lift unless the dealer requested a regional Ford tech to review the truck or something.

Re: 2008 Leveling Kit

I just went to my local dealer, i have 2008 250 SD KR and will install a DR 4.5" kit in December, the dealer stated he would do warranty work unless it was something caused by the lift. i dont't know what that would be but the DR systems seem to be the best and should not cause any issues.

Re: 2008 Leveling Kit

Outnumbered, I know that's the way it used to be but with all the talks of voiding the warranty if you do engine mods I was a little worried. I'm checking with the dealer know.

Re: 2008 Leveling Kit

I know i was worried as well, I actually could not get anywhere with my salesman so I contacted the owner of the dealership, I have the luxury of knowing him personally and he agreed to the 4.5" lift, good luck, I hope it works out for you......

Re: 2008 Leveling Kit

Have you looked at Bilstein's leveling kit. Their site doesn't list for '08' but they must have one for it. This is the kit I will put on mine.
BTS Kit - New Bilstein BTS System for 2005 and later Ford F-250/F-350 4WD
Bilstein announces the release of their new BTS systems for 2005 and later Ford F-250/F-350 4WD Super Duty pickups. These new BTS systems include replacement front coil springs and two 5100 Series shocks. This system raises the front of the truck by 2.25", increases wheel travel and vastly improves overall handling characteristics.
