For sure man. I am taking it in either tomarrow or tuesday. Ill let ya know what the outcome is. To me its pretty obvious there is a flat spot on one of my tires...we just need to find out which one it is.

Properly balanced Toyos will not hop. In most cases hopping is the result of wheels with excessive run out or improper balancing. We have installed several hundred sets of Toyos and I could probably count the tires we have had issues with on one hand. I would suggest taking the truck elsewhere to have the tires match balanced. 4WP pushes Procomp because it is their own brand. They have such a bad reputation we do not even offer them. Here is an example: (all 4 tires on this customers truck were like this)

It is not the brand of tires at all. You have purchased the #1 mud tire on the market man. I have 37's on 22's, and I don't have a problem. Either it is not balanced correctly, the tire pressure has changed, or they are wearing uneaven. Mine rid perfect, and never shimmy, or hop. I have had the truck up to 95 with the lift, and it rides like a cadillac. Are you sure it is not the drive shaft? Did they install the carrier bearing drop? They had to put a bigger carrier bearing drop because I had a shimmer from take off and again at 50. They originally put the ProComp on, and then switched to the Superlift spacer. Fixed the problem right away.

Hmm...as I posted in the other thread I can feel it at all ranges of speed. It just gets worse with speed. That could be a good point about the drive shaft. Does the Rize kit come with one? Would I be able to feel a wobble at around 20mph? As far as the wheel wieght picture...my rims have pretty much the same amount of wieght on them. I think I am going to take my truck either into ORW, or I am going to put one stock tire on all four side at seperate times and drive my truck to see which wheel is screwing up my truck.

I don't recommend this if your truck has the limited slip differential in the rear end.

The weights are the least of my concern. I was referencing the massive cracking around the bead!

This is super helpful. Too bad the guys mouting my tires dont read this. I am trying one more thing before I go crazy...I am getting new shocks to see if that helps. They say it will, but we will see.

IMHO, new shocks aren't the answer. I would get my money back on the tires and wheels, then go to a TIRE shop that has someone that knows how to balance them.

My 2 cents,
Mark

OK here is an update...I was fed up with 4wheelparts so I took my truck to Discount Tire. And....damn. My right front tire wasnt even balanced from 4WP, there was no wieghts anywhere and it was off super bad. My front left was actualy balanced but the way they did it was off more than the unbalanced right tire. The left rear was actually balanced perfect and the right rear was off considerably and is the tire that is out of round. The guys felt so bad for me they didnt even charge me for anything...so I went out and bought them a case of beer. They found the whole ordeal funny that someone would actually balance tires like this.

So how does it drive now? You need to make 4WP buy you a new set of tires for their mistake. I think they should eat the cost if the tires are already having uneaven wear due to improper balancing. When you spend that much money on tires there should be some accountabillity of their part.

It drives better, but there is still a tire that is out of round. So it still rides pretty crappy around 50 mph. Im looking at getting them shaved to 100% true.

The only issue I've had is a shake taking off at the light. So I redid the drive line from a 2 piece to a one piece. Now I have no hop no vibration.

Well....I finally got the issue fixed. I took it to ORW they found which tires were out of round and gave me a printed out report for free. I took the report to 4wheelparts and they replaced both the rear tires and now my truck rides like its on rails! I love it.

Any of you guys check your pinion angles? I don't think I've ridden in one SD that DIDN'T have the 45mph little SD hop, but that's it. My 38's on 20x12's are smooth as glass.
