Question 37's on stock crew crab

Has anyone tried to fit 37's (37x12.5x20) on stock 20 inch rims with no lift?

I think you could pull it off on both the 7.3 and 6.0L models but you would have to buy a cheap level kit, do some trimming, and definately use the stock wheels. As for the 6.4L models, that might be a problem, but I would stick to a 285 or 305 size tire to keep better fuel mileage.

I've seen a guy on another site running rockstars and 37s with a leveling kit. I have 35s on my truck without a leveling kit, I think you could run 37s but if you flex them at all, they'll probably hit somewhere.

I have 35's without a lift and it is the max. They even rub on the radious arms when i turn hard backing up. 37's , no way. You would destroy your inner fender wells and you wouldn't have any turning radius at all.

10 Years of tire experience says NO WAY they will fit, and if they by chance do fit the first bump you hit ( like when backing out of your driveway ) you can say bye bye fenders. I have a 8" BDS 4 link kit with 37" Toyos, I have room for 38" but if I hit hard when turning itll hit. Just my 2 cents

You can fit 37s with a 6 inch, a member on FTE has done so. Truck fits 34" stock so maybe a four inch would allow 37s

This is my truck with 37" BFG's on stock 18". I'm running a Bilstein leveling coils and 5100's up front and a readylift 4" Block in the rear. I'm rubbing a little on the inner fender on hard turns, nothing a little trim wouldn't take care of.

On my 88 F350 CC 4WD, I had 9.00 and then 11.00R16 Michelin XLs on stock rims, with just a 2" add-a-leaf at both ends. With the 9.00s, no contact. With the 11.00s, slight rubbing on front leaves at full steering lock. The front bumer was replaced with something that sticks out for a winch.
The 9.00s were 36X10"; the 11.00s were 38.7X11".
You might look at Michelin 275/80R20 XZLs to work if you have 8 or 9" wide rims (the factory rec. rim is 9"). They are 37.0" tall, 11.0" wide and carry 3970 lb at 60psi at 68mph. Very strong all steel construction, aggressive but long-lasting tread. They weigh 72 lb.
I don't think they'll fit a stock 08 truck without mods, though.
