Is this easy to do? I located my new truck, and captain's chairs and console was the only option missing. Is it a matter of taking out the 20 seat and replacing it with a console? Is it a straight swap?

I don't know the answer, but as an idea you might get an answer at a body shop or a dealer body shop.

I bought it off Ebay, probably foolishly, but knowing how expensive Ford OEM parts are, probably not a bad purchase. Seller claims that a fleet of trucks came in with consoles, and they were supposed to have benches. Funny thing is that it was a Lariat console. I can't imagine they would order a fleet of Lariat vehicles. The seller had KR, XLT, XL and other colors of Lariat consoles, as well as other interior parts. I paid $500 for it, again, without knowing what a OEM from the dealer costs. I'm impulsive like that. The sellers ad did say that a complete console in Lariat trim would cost over $1000, which I find hard to believe, but I will agree that it was probably over $500. The other items he has for sale seem reasonably priced, and with lots of sales and good feedback.

StreamlineGT, Did the swap work? Did the brackets line up. Found OEM's on ebay for $200. I would like to do it, but would like to hear from someone who did it.

Has anyone done this change from the 60/40 load floor configuration? I would imagine that the body has the bolt positions for all possible seating configurations since having different bodies for different seating would be a bit crazy.
Mine is a job 3 08, did mine late in 2008. Bought it off of EBay for 50.00. I assume it was from an earlier job, though. It wasn't a bolt in, the brackets needed drilled a little and the connector was different. Took about an hour to do the install with an assistant. Works fine.
Looking for a center seat in medium stone leather??
Anybody have the center seat in medium stone leather for sale? I have a console and now have a family of six! I'm gonna keep the console so I can put it back in though at some point. I'm in the DFW area if that matters.
