I ask my dealer what is allowed as far as mods. They said a mild lift is ok, but don't touch the motor & related. They have no problem w/ any issues that could arise w/ components w/ a lift and having it warrantied. Minor replacements (ball joints, etc..) they will take care of at the dealer level. Only major carnage like he (my dealer) stated w/ the motor or emission stuff they would have to get the area rep involved because of repair cost and replacements. I know letters have been sent out to dealers about crack down on aftermarket stuff & warranties, but it's the dealers discretion for the most part.

I guess every dealer can be different in stance though.....

which flares are you thinking of doing? I'm looking for some as well and i'm kinda leaning toward the ATS off road flares.

UPDATE:

SKYJACKER KIT :
yeah well to be honest if i had it to do over again ida bought a different kit. I'm not all that pleased with their engineering. nevermind the fact that their solution to the sway bar rubbing issue (which took them a week to even admit theyd ever even heard of it before) was "just loosen it up and pry it over till it clears then retighten it". Yeah well we had to use about an inch worth of shims on the lower link bolt to clear the track bar bracket. Its almost like the links they sent are for teh 8" kit as they have the sway bar almost pointing down when the trucks sitting on the ground. that extra length is whats causing the sway bar to hit. So in the long run ill probably either fab up shorter links or buy shorter quick disconnect links.

i will admit that when i went with the pro comp kit, my links were a full 2.25" shorter. maybe order up the pro comp links?
I had so many issues with that kit, and their service that they can lick me where I pee. I will never buy another product of theirs.
