9005 in Fog Lamp?

Wondering if anyone here has used the 9005 bulb instead of the 9145 in the fog lamps on their 08 or 09. Is there issues with the extra heat in the housing? Also are there any issues with the additional current draw?
Thanks in advance

9145 is 45W
9005 is 65W

I have Silver Star 9005's in my '08 fog lights for a year now. No melting or cracking. IMO, they make a noticable difference.
