For all of you that have lifted 08 F450s can you post pics of your ride with wheel and tire specs. I am really interested in those that have Super Singles.

I see your sig and you have done a lot of mods already. Can you elaborate on the differences you see in fuel econ and performance from stock for the following:
5" Magnaflow DPF back
AFE intake
Did the above make any diff in performance and fuel econ?
Custom 6" ProComp lift (when you say custom what do you mean)
rear block? Add-a-leaf?
front replacement coil? spacer? new radius arms or dropped radius arms
How is the ride? Same as stock?
Also, with the 4.88s and new tire diameter what are your rpms at 70mph.
Can't really give you before and after on ride, mileage or performance. The truck was torn apart the same day it came off the car carrier, in fact within on a few hours of being unloaded. The procomp lift bolts in as far as from coil springs and radius arm drop down brackets. Sway bar links work as supplied. Pitman arm/steering become the biggest issue. Pitman arm is a modified ford part. Cross over bar is fab. from bar stock and another oem drag link was cut down and inserted in the right side. A 1 1/4 dia thread Moog part is used on pitman arm end. Rear add a leafs we used from the liftkit but center holes had to be enlarged, new center pins. Rear was still low so we added a 3" block that was machine to the same size as the axle housing(length). Shocks were sourced from Bilstien, fronts are 6" over for 05-08 F250/350. Rears are just something I found in the catalog by length. Lots of parts were purchased for R+D to make this happen. Ford dealer was nice enough to loan me a truck for measure/testing. As the truck in the pictures was or order. I wanted to be first last year with a F450 lift. Did it back in May.
Looks great can't wait to get started on mine just picked it up tonight.

WHich is better in both cost and being practical?
AirBag Lift or Suspension Lift?
I had a 2006 F350 KR Crew Cab Dually that I lifted with a 8" front SkyJacker suspension kit and a 6" rear SkyJacker suspension kit. I had also added Alcoa 22.5 wheels with adaptors and Heavy Duty truck tires. That truck would beat the S*%T out of you. My family and I drove it from Maryland down to South Carolina to pick up a chopper I bought. WHAT A PAIN IN THE A**!!!! I could not wait to get home and get out of that truck.
The reason I went airlift this time is becasue before I could not get into some places with my truck because it was too high. Now I can lower it and get into some of these places again. Plus when I had my suspension lift, if I had a big load in the bed or was pulling something, the rear would squat BAD. With the auto level kit it will do just that, keep it level.
SO this time I went with the 4 link rear, great shocks, and 22" direct bolt on wheels and better tires that I paid extra to have them shaved. I will definately be able to tell you if it is better than my F350 was. It is indeed expensive, but I learned my leason from last time.
I will take some pics starting Monday for ya's.

So what I'm reading is that riding a long distance on a jacked up suspension lift sucks ass. And its better to go with an Airlift bag than a suspension lift?
Hmmmm... I'm sold. I'm looking for the best lift solution to my new '08 King Ranch. And if Airbags beat Suspension hands down when it comes to ride quality, then that is what I'm looking to get.
