If I may ask, how much did it cost you total? I know man-hours are priceless, but for the tank, hoses, etc. I am strongly considering adding a tank, but am also looking at trading in my cover for a cap. Not really sure what to do. Thanks.

Very nice! Would one of those be OK inside, say, an A.R.E. truck cap/shell on a truck? Or, is that a bad idea?

1750.... and i did not install it. it was custom built and installed. it has a switch in the truck that controls a valve underneath so you can switch while driving. it could be built a few inches shorter to accomodate your bed cover, but might be a little tricky for clearence needed for a fuel nozzle to fill up. One thing i would do different would be to have the wiring from the sending unit and wiring from the valve to the switch and fuel guage wired with quick release electrical connections. If the cab ever has to come off then the wires will need to be cut!! I have the "ticking" in my engine....so at one point it will be in for repairs and possibly a cab off repair.

I think it would work fine. It's a sealed tank not vented or anything, so fumes should not be a problem. You would have to drag the fuel hose inside the shell to fill it up. I think you would want to have the shell in place first when measurements are taken to take into account any clearance issues around the inside of the shell or any mounting hardware the shell has that might get in the way. what the pics don't show is a diamond plate cover that covers the hoses on top of the tank.

Transferflow makes fueltanks that are compatible with camper shells so that you won't have to drag the hose into the bed.
