Day Time Running Lights

I have a 2008 Superduty Diesel. I seem top remember hearing that to activate Day Time Running lights only requires a programming change by the dealer. Is this true? Is that all I need to ask for? Any idea of costs.

It is true, I just went to the dealer and had them reflash the smart junction box. The tech said he went into the options and turned the daytime running option to on. They told me that it did not work but I think they didnt realize that you had to put the truck in gear to get them to come on. When I left the lot they were working great. They didnt charge me maybe because I was already there for warranty work. Hope this helps

wich lights are now on as the running lights, the top orange lights?

In Canada, DRL are standard on all vehicles. The '08 Super Duty here uses 75% output of the highbeams, not the orange lights.
