Daytime running light delete?

How can i delete my DRL on my 08. I dont like how i cant shut them off when the trucks in gear. Plus if i do HID's i dont think they will like the lower wattage at all.

i want to know how to do this also

I already have the HID kit for the headlights and foglights but haven't been able to put them on because of the daytime running lights. Someone please help! It's killing me to drive with the dim factory headlights. I have the 2008 F350 lariat if it matters.

I think that the dealer can turn them off. It is in the programming of the "Smart Junction Box".

i thought the DRL only comes on when you have your headlight switch to the auto position (furthest left) when it is in vertical position means all the lights are off. I am going to be putting HID's on as well

The DRL is a programmed feature. The dealer has to turn off or turn them on via the computer. I had mine done this past summer.

Is this something that is done in certain states?? I ask, because I have never seen a Super Duty with DRL. I have owned a lot of SD's, and this is the first I have heard of this. You won't see any SD's around my neck of the woods with DRL, and come to think of it, in my travels up and down the east coast in the last year, I don't think I have ever even seen one on the road with DRL. Just curious.

I had three of them with DRLs, 99,'02, and '05. I installed the relays, etc. myself.

This is a feature that the dealer can toggle on and off in the programming of the smart junction box. I had mine turned on a few months back.
