Dump bed configuration

I just ordered a 2010 F-350 Cab & Chassie and plan to install a pto driven dump body. Everyone I have checked with has told me that due to the exhaust system, you CANNOT install the hoist without a subframe like you could on the 2007's. This applies to the 2009 trucks (and I guess 2008) as well. My question is has anyone installed a dump bed without adding the 5'' subframe to accomodate the hoist? Having the bed sit up so high will make it hard to reach over the sides and into the bed. It will also look like crap with so much space between the tire and bed. It looks like Ford has forgotten people still use these trucks to work in and with a little engineering, the exhaust could have been routed closer to the axle to accomodate the hoist. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
