exhaust questions

Hey,

I am looking to buy an exhaust system for my 2008 f250. The purpose is not for it to be loud (well, maybe a bit loud ), but for it to be heard. I love the diesel sound, and want to hear it from the exhaust. I have no clue on what to buy though. Full system? tip? what company? etc.

I am not to sure about just a tip, I don't really want to half %&# it. But I have no idea if that is actually all I need. any help or suggestions would be great.

Thanks in advance.

The MBRP filter back systems we carry will keep you legal and have a deep mellow tone that I think you're after. They also come with a mirror polished T304 SS Tip that complements the system very well. Give us a call if you have any questions.

You're the first to say that. Everyone I've seen have aftermarket exhaust systems say that it makes little if any difference in tone. The reasoning behind this is the DPF, or so I have been told.

Look at Banks system. They don't claim any difference in sound. As a matter of fact, Banks themselves say that while their system helps lower EGTs, that the system is otherwise purely cosmetic. Granted, you ARE selling MBRP, but I am trying to make a point. MBRP isn't any different thank Banks.

The factory exhaust is a straight through with a resonator already. I have also heard that all pipes are purely cosmetic. the only one tha tmight make a difference, if at all, might be the MBRP 5" with 6" tip (maybe a Megaphone ) I have noticed that sellers do offer therre exhaust with huge discounts.

I have the dual monster from Bank's. No real sound difference. If you call Bank's direct, be sure and check out the prices of the system you want on a site like Xtreme Diesel. Bank's will try and sell you it for there full list price and charge you shipping. That is till you call them on it and tell them you can get it cheaper @ ---. They tuck there tail in and sell you it for the cheaper price with FREE shipping as the other place.

Bank's does have the cool cuff, I have at least 2000 miles on the pipes and no discoloration of the stainless. Have been through a few regens and still bright and shiny, no goldish tint as stainless gets when it gets Hot.
