I just got confirmation that the "old" mod works as late as 2006 Superduties. No diodes, no eBay, no briteboxes, nothing except 20 minutes and a small piece of wire.

Things change and I'm not sure on model years newer than that. Sorry.

Actually, it still worked on the 2007's as well. I had this mod on my '07. Just like you mentioned, 20 minutes and a piece of wire.

I'm going to try and look at this over the weekend and see if there is something similar that can be done with this on the '08 and up models.
