I need some help here, I have the Ford alarm 2W7J-19A498-AA the other day my TPS went of so I stopped to check the air in my tires. I reset the TPS and went to start my truck, but it wouldn’t turn over. It acted like it does when you get out of the truck for over a min and kills the ignition. So I hit the key fob to unlock the truck like always, but it still won’t turn over.
So I pushed the bypass button and the truck started no problem but, now the alarm doesn’t automatically set the ignition kill when I get out of the truck and when I do set the alarm the LED does not flash.
When I got the truck new, I did not get a manual on this alarm.
So my question is did I put it in a valet mode? And if so how do I put it back to the normal mode
I have tried disconnecting the batteries to reset it but that didn’t work
Similar thing happened to me. Had it towed into my dealer and 5 days later they finally had the replacement part. The "anti-theft" wouldn't recognize the chip in the Key. They said it was a faulty module in the instrument panel.
