Good intake and exhaust? - Diesel Forum

I really need help quick being that this is on Craigslist.

I found a guy selling Banks Ram-Air intake and Banks Monster exhaust with 4" pipe and 6" tip for $350 for both. They came off his 08 6.4. Is this a good deal? I know it's way under the new price for both, but are these good parts? Thanks in advance!!

you already got great anwsers from vendors of other products on the other site you posted this on.
IMO if thoes are the products you want it is a no brainer grab them quick
if you are just looking for a deal, that is a $*^% of a deal grab it.
if you want something else but think this is good cuzz of price DO NOT grab it. I have always found get what I want even if it cost more.

I have the same setup on my '08 and am happy with it. Good quality material and well built. I got some occasional P2002 errors from the Ram Air but it finally stopped (so far). The computer thinks it's getting too much air I guess. If the price is that good, GRAB THEM!

Whatever you do don't buy it because its cheap. Buy it because you want it. Each product is different due to personal preference. You ask 10 people their thoughts, and you may get 10 different answers. If you like it buy it. Banks has been around awhile, and they make a good product.

My first question would be why is he selling it?

Banks fabrication quality is good and their guy - over on the modifications forum - would tell you it was a deal but their intake has been throwing codes on some guys.

When that code pops up did you do anything to make it stop or just rolled with it?

I have both on my truck and have been very happy with the install and look. For that price, if you want the Banks components, go for it.
