hey I just got a new 2009 f350. Wanting to put some new rims and tires on it. Also want a small lift. Maybe just a level kit then raise the rear end a bit to keep the correct stance. First diesel I have owned so not to sure about all this. Also been looking at programmers. Only problem is I do not want to loose my factory warrany. So please any suggestions would be great..
Congrats on the new diesel and on the first post, welcome!
power programmers that plugin can be programmed back to stock in a couple of minutes , so before taking it back to the dealer you should always put back to stock.
I believe K&N airfilters are the only ones that the company will back you up if the dealer gives you a hard time about having a non-stock filter, but you would have to use a drop-in type and not the entire system.
Tires and wheels, well check the web, so many out there, get a dieseltruck related magazine, subscriptions are dirt cheap nowadays.
Enjoy your truck, and make sure to create your signature, go to "my account" and on the left you will have the many options, including a picture avatar you can upload.
talk to you later

thanks will keep that in mind. The part about the programmer. I read somewhere they can see if it has been changed at all at any point. Any truth to that? yea the rim and tire choice is crazy. More worried about getting the proper lift right now.
Now that you have a picture posted, I see that you have the nice wheels, I would keep them and just level the front.
Just keep in mind that when towing you might have some positive camber and wear the outside more, plus people will love your headlights
I have mine lifted 6 inches all around, the max for a 2000 4x2, I still eat the tires up when turning sharp, they drag a lot on the outside, but that is lifting to the max and will not be your case.
Not sure about the dealer knowing that you used a programmer , gotta find a dealer nearby that is more mod friendly and ask. Others here might shed more light on the subject, mine is a 2000 so....
Take care and enjoy your truck for decades to come!

Cant program it without risking losing your warranty. Spartan is pretty good about leaving no footprints, but its still a risk you will have to take if you want a tuner. The leveling kit is going to correct the stance as it is, no need to touch the back unless you want it stinkbug again.
Bigger tires will mess up your speedometer a little and programmers that fix that are expensive to say the least.
I rely on my navigation system for speed and to keep track of odometer numbers.
They will also make your gear ratio longer and that might be a plus for MPG but not for towing.
my 3.73 are a little too long now after my 22.5 were installed, not really good for towing or EGT's....
installing diff. ratio is too expensive and will produce more heat in the differential internals......so I am stuck with towing carefully and maybe even with the OD off.
