Hooking up In-dash DVD player to upfitters

Guys,
My 7" Pioneer DVD player is sitting in my dash now and it looks nice but you have to engage the emergency brake to watch it. What I would like to do is bypass the emergency break so my girl can watch movies for our trip from Alaska to North Dakota. Can I hook it up to one of the upfitters to trick the pioneer unit the emergency break is set? How do I do this? I have already found the upfitter wires under the steering column.

Thanks
Evan

Go to PAC Audio's website. They have most of the bypass kits. You can buy them on Ebay as well for much cheaper. I used one on my Alpine.

I have the Pioneer AVH-4000 in my truck. I had my installer do the bypass. He didn't want to but I insisted he do it. I'm not an electronics type guy, but he just put a toggle switch on a little green wire that goes to ground. He put the tiny toggle switch under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and all I had to do was put a dvd in and when the warning screen came up I just flip the switch off and then back on. As a matter of fact, when I got home I relocated the switch to that little aux. input thing on the dash under the radio because it was a little inconvienent fumbling around feeling for the switch under the dash.

I have my DVD player bypassed through the ebrake now with a little toggle switch but now the damn ebrake alarm keeps "dinging" while I drive. How do I stop this annoying sound?

You get the correct bypass like I posted before and you eliminate the ebrake all together.............
