I need new tires, any ideas?

My 08 cc 4x4 has the 275/65 R 20 tire really didn't care for these tires , no real reason, but they have lasted a long time. I have priced the Goodyears @ $850 out the door and $900 for Nitto Terra Grapplers. Not a lot of choices in 20" size. I would like larger, but I have the 5.4 gas and 3.73 gears. I know I should have gotten diesel, but I usually haul plastic plumbing fittings and rarely tow 6000#. Any ideas on tires...

I've got the Nitto Terra Grapplers and I'm happy with them. But I've only had them for a few weeks now. Only got 45,000 miles out of my OEM Goodyear's ad they looked wimpy.

The Nitto's look pretty nice and aren't noisy.

I was thinking of getting the Nitto Terra Grappler. The only thing is I drive 50,000 miles a year and the Goodyears are still going at 53,000 miles. On the other hand, as much driving as I do, 10,000 miles are only 2 months. What size Nitto did you put on. Like I said I would like a bigger size, but I got the 5.4. Can't really complain when its a company truck that I drive everywhere.Has anybody run the Goodyear Duratrax

from all the reviews ive heard about the goodyear wrangler duratrac is that on a 3/4 ton and up truck the sidewalls are too soft. they like to roll over when you turn is the consensus ive heard, although everyone who runs them on 1/2 tons really like them

the tire im going with for both my 350 diesel and my brothers 2500HD are kumho road venture kl71's. ive heard nothing but good reviews about these, they last a long time, look really good, have excellent grip dry/wet/snow etc... and they are not noisy at all. i filtered the reviews by type of vehicle they have been installed on and looked at only 3/4 and up trucks and they guys say they handle really well too.

I ran Goodyears on all of my trucks, including my Class 8 semi. As soon as I wear the stock BFG's out (which will be pretty soon with only 15K on the clock...) I'm going back to Goodyear. I used to run AP's but they discontinued them so I switched to RT/s's. Make sure you are pricing Load Range E tires, some of the dealers tried to switch to the lower rating to get me in at a lower price. No way, Jose. That may be part of the soft sidewall issue, too.
