Hello,
Wanted to post about my install of my 3.5" Readylift SST kit.
The kit came with coil spacers, shock extensions, track bar relocation bracket, radius arm drop brackets, bump stop extensions, carrier bearing spacer, 5" block and new u bolts/nuts. All the parts are great quality and I really liked the fact all the parts are black and look stock.
I got a hold of a garage with a frame lift and an almost endless collection of tools and full impact setup thanks to Casey aka PSDFREAK. Saturday hung over as we could possibly be, began at about 1 pm.
Install went pretty smooth. The only real pain was removal and install of "track bar relocation bracket."
Ran into a small problem: My ABS line was too short to snap back onto little plastic mount on radius arm and get back to connect. What have others done to fix this proble? Right now, the line is plugged back in, but just dangling above frame.
Got it all installed and put the truck to the floor with little incident. Straightend out steering wheel and we were done wiht about 5 hours of actual work.
The ABS thing is reallyannoying to me. Readylift had no idea I was going to have to deal with this? Or am spoiled becasue their directions were so detailed and colorful?Pics will follow as soon as I can get around to pointing my camera at the thing.
With the 5" block in the rear, does the truck look exactly level, or is it just a bit up in the back? Just curious ... I'm thinking the 5" block gives you about a half inch more lift in the back?

does anyone have a solution for too short abs lines? What do others do when the lines won't sit flush on radius arms?
I would have to think that kits would come with some sort of solution.
The rubbing is really making me mad.

Couldn't you just make a bracket of some sort
that you could drill into the radius arm and them attach the
line to to hold it in place. Look at BDS install instructions,
or Fabtech instructions. You can get either from their
websites ... they use some simple brackets to raise the
mount point of the lines. It seems to me it wouldn't be to hard
to make some, or maybe you could just buy the ones that
Fabtech or BDS use? But, you're right ... Readylift needs to
address that! They should send you some brackets.

no rubbing issues before i put this g.d. lift on.
Did you get the rubbing issues resolved? My truck rubs a bit with the 2.5" kit in the exact same spot. I am guessing that the track bar relocation bracket is an approximate 'fix' for the axle shifting over, I think an adjustable track bar might make the difference. Looking foir some input...
I am curious as to whether the caster reductioin that occurred with my kit (and corrected with cams) is addressed with the drop brackets?
